Nasal Holter Bundle Beta [6/15/25Hz] (Shipping Feb. 2025)

$864.00Price
Pressure probe color

NOTE: Nasal Holters are now in production, expected first shipping: Feb. 2025

Product name: Nasal Holter

Sampling rate: 6, 15, or 25 Hz

Current Model: NH1

Who is this product for: Scientists

What is this product for:
The device has three recording channels: It allows separate measurement of respiratory
airflow in left nostril, right nostril, and mouth. It will record left and right nostrils separately
using a PP1, and it will record left nostril, right nostril, and mouth separately using PP2. In
addition, the device has a 3-degrees-of-freedom position sensor. The Holter can transmit
live vie Bluetooth, and it can write data to onboard memory for later download. It has
rechargeable batteries, and energy and memory are sufficient for 24 hours of continues
recording at 6Hz. Higher frequencies last shorter durations. The device is ideal for
characterizing long-term respiratory patterns, and it is optimized for measuring the Nasal
Cycle.

What does it come with:
The Nasal Holter Bundle comes with:
1. A Nasal Holter
2. A dedicated charger
3. A super-soft silicone nasal pressure probe (PP1)
4. A super-soft silicone nasal-oral pressure probe (PP2)
5. 5 sets of Stickers for pasting the device to the nape of the neck in long-term recordings
5. A carrying case

What else will I need in order to use this:

One of the following: A cellphone with Bluetooth connectivity and either Android or IOS
operating system; A tablet with Bluetooth connectivity and either Android or IOS operating
system, a desktop or laptop computer with Bluetooth connectivity and either Windows or
Mac operating system.

Electrical properties:
Input: 5V, Input Current Max. 100 mA

What else might I want:

You may want additional pressure probes for independent users, you may want a Science
Brick to export the signal, or a TTL cable to add input comments to the data trace, and you
may want a calibration tool in order to better calibrate the output units.

What does “BETA” imply?
1. The device aesthetics are not yet perfect. In our experience, the Basic and Air looked
better and better as we improved minor aspects across their first year of production.
Functionality is all there, but the aesthetics are not yet perfect.
2. The initial Sniff Science mobile app and desktop software has limited functionality.
Currently, you will be able to initiate recordings, save the data, and download it. Various
added bells and whistles, such as “statistics on the fly”, mobile notifications on shifts in
Nasal Cycle, and more, will all be available later. You will have no problem implementing
these additions on your “BETA” device, as these will be merely software upgrades.
